Florida Secretary of State Browning on new election law

Kurt Browning has an editorial in the Palm Beach Post.

“To combat voter fraud, reduce the burden on poll workers and provide flexibility to supervisors, the number of days polls remain open has been reduced from 14 to just eight, even as the total number of hours available for early voting will remain the same. The result is that working voters will be able to vote before or after work, something they haven’t been able to do.”

New Jersey politician to sue for malicious voter fraud prosecution

The marathon Atlantic City voter fraud trial appears to have a sequel in the works.  More at the Press of Atlantic City:

“The state indicted Small and 13 others in September 2009 on voter-fraud charges related to messenger ballots obtained during the 2009 Democratic mayoral primary involving Mayor Lorenzo Langford and candidate David Tayoun.  Two defendants pleaded guilty in the lead-up to trial, but a jury acquitted Small and five other defendants. The state dropped charges against the remaining six.”

“Voter fraud is a well-documented reality in American elections. To offer a few examples, a 2010 state representative race in Kansas City, Mo. was stolen when one candidate, J.J. Rizzo, allegedly received more than 50 votes illegally cast by citizens of Somalia. The Somalis, who didn’t speak English, were coached to vote for Mr. Rizzo by an interpreter at the polling place. The margin of victory? One vote.”
