It’s about time someone addressed this problem at the street level. I teach a class on Democracies and honest elections are the hallmark of a sustainable democracy. When elections are no longer believed to be true, the people give up clearing the way for any thuggish dictator with the ambition to lead by any means possible. And there is no shortage of these types anywhere in the world. The US is on shaky ground these days.
