Felon Voting Dies in Virginia House

The bill allowing felons to automatically vote (which passed with GOP support in the Senate) is dead in the Virginia House. SJ 266 (Senator Lucas, Senator McEachin, Senator Petersen) was a constitutional amendment that would automatically restore voting rights.  The bill was passed by the full Senate earlier in the session. A House subcommittee struck down the bill without a recorded vote.
