Fund and von Spakovsky Offer to Debate Rick Hasen, Anytime, Anyplace

I learned over the weekend that Hans von Spakovsky and John Fund have offered to debate law professor Rick Hasen, anytime, anyplace about the allegations in their books.  The pair have offered to appear at particular events where Hasen will appear to rebut the allegations in Hasens’ book.

So far, Hasen has refused to debate them about book contents.

I made a similar overture to Justin Levitt when I spoke at the National Council of State Legislature Meeting in Chicago.  I said I’d debate him about voter fraud, but so far haven’t heard anything either.

Hi, Christian. Justin Levitt here. Actually, what I said at NCSL — and it’s still true — is that I’d be happy to debate.

As I said on Twitter, perhaps I believe the person who told me this more than I believe your denials, especially since you won’t answer if you contacted your publisher to see if they received a request to debate you fron Fund and/or von Spakovsky.  Since you won’t answer my repeated question as to whether you contacted your publisher to see if the offer was made to them, I will assume the answer is most likely you did not.  Certainly even an academic press has a PR person or other staffer that you might call to see if an offer was made to debate you.
