Andrew Breitbart Dead at 43

This is a sad day.  Andrew was a friend, and also a husband and father of 4.  I was with him last week in Los Angeles plotting the latest.  He was a whirldwind.  He worked on Injustice with me, providing a jacket blurb.  I wrote in my acknowledgements: “For their support and vision, Richard Pollock, Roger Simon, and everyone at Pajamas Media who are reconstructing the news model deserve thanks. So does Andrew Breitbart, soul brother and pied piper.” Andrew wasn’t always right, and he knew his own limitations.  But he was always in the fight.  He was funny, witty, and loved good music.  He was a joy to be around and will be missed for many reasons.  (Update, my PJ Rule of Law Column:  Andrew Breitbart Ignored the Pain.) One happy day last year:

Today, March 1, 2012, we mourn the loss of a true patriot and warrior for America’s foundational principles of freedom. Andrew was a beacon of truth in the politically correct world of the news media. We could always count on Andrew getting the truth out. In this day of loss may we take a minute to pray for his family and give thanks for Andrew’s life.
