NBC News Reports on the Acting Head of the IRS apologizing for the targeting of conservatives.  Very foolish is an understatement.  My friends, there is a now a new definition of voter suppression, a massive suppression of political speech over the course of 3 years. This was voter suppression on a nationwide level by a super-power of a federal agency leading up a presidential election.

The debate over voter suppression will NEVER be the same.

Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% think the
Justice Department’s actions were chiefly an effort to intimidate the
media.

A number of Democrats serving on the Committee for House Administration released a press statement stating they will be filing a bill to reform and reauthorize the Election Assistance Commission (EAC).  Statement.

Overseas voters could soon be able to use one form to request ballots
for federal and some local elections, if the bill is signed by Gov. Rick Perry.  Link.

..voter fraud changed the outcome of this election. As the Kansas City Star says, “The wrong candidate was declared winner of the 2010 Democratic primary.” Voter fraud is real. And it can—and does—threaten the integrity of our electoral system.

This story just keeps getting stranger and stranger as Mayor Bloomberg weighs in on the potential electoral disaster predicted by the Board of Elections:  He wants to bring back the mechanical lever machines. The rest of the country have long left the lever voting machine with the horse and buggy. To provide a bit of context, the lever machine first saw service in New York in 1892.  Yes, that is no typo, 1892.  It is so old, there is a lever machine on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. 

After the Board of Elections complained they would be unprepared to
handle the new electronic machines for the upcoming mayoral election,
Mayor Michael Bloomberg is calling for the agency to bring back the
lever voting machines.
