New York Times tries to take away Texas Senator Cruz’s Hispanic Heritage

Senator Ted Cruz goes after a Republican, ruffles the feathers of Democrats and the the elderly white Grey Lady tries to take away the heritage of Senator Ted Cruz.

Mr. Cruz, a Canadian-born lawyer who won an upset primary victory last year, is adamant in his own defense.

Is that really how one would describe Ted Cruz.  Only if you were trying to ignore his heritage.  By the end of the year, Marco Rubio will be Caucasian.

Felon Voting Dies in Virginia House

The bill allowing felons to automatically vote (which passed with GOP support in the Senate) is dead in the Virginia House. SJ 266 (Senator Lucas, Senator McEachin, Senator Petersen) was a constitutional amendment that would automatically restore voting rights.  The bill was passed by the full Senate earlier in the session. A House subcommittee struck down the bill without a recorded vote.
