Pennsylvania makes voter ID available with one trip to PenDot

The Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation and State has
announced voters can choose to receive either secure PennDOT IDs, or
Department of State voting-only ID cards, when visiting a PennDOT driver
license center to obtain photo ID to vote under the state’s new voter
ID law.
The agencies also announced that, in order to get the DOS voter ID card, an individual need only give his name, date of birth, social security number, and address; however, proof of residence is not required.  Link.

No amount of flexibility will ever satisfy the opponents of ID because the key is to avoid the confirmation of identity at the polls with any form of ID or require any exercise of energy or responsibility on the part of the voter.  Why would I not be surprised to see the Pennsylvania judge require six months for Pennsylvania citizens to obtain an photo ID, despite all the publicity of the election and need for voter ID.

99% of Pennsylvanians have a photo ID, 87% know of voter ID requirement.

This poll reveals the lie that left wing groups perpetuate – that no one know of the requirement of a voter ID and huge numbers don’t have adequate voter photo ID.  It is all a hoax.  87% know of the requirement, 99 percent have a photo ID.  If you continue the lie and boost the hysteria, even the courts crumble.  link at Times Tribune.

About seven in eight voters (87 percent) answered “true” when asked if
the state requires a photo ID to vote. Almost all voters (99 percent)
said they have a valid photo ID. Nearly six in 10 (59 percent) favor
requiring one and nearly half (46 percent) strongly favor it.

Of the people in favor, more than half (54 percent) say they would
still favor the requirement even if many eligible voters would be
prevented from voting because they will not have one.

Almost four in 10 (39 percent) strongly or somewhat oppose the requirement.

“Is voter fraud ever acceptable”

A short snippet of the op-ed: “Protecting the ballot box from being infected with fraud is serious
business, so it’s my hope that sometime in the next two years, saner
heads will be placed in charge at Justice and our law will be allowed to
move forward. Our votes are sacred and should not be lost through the
deception and dishonesty of others”

“Early Voting Tears America’s Civic Fabric”

 Breitbart:

“In the last several years, there have been concerted efforts to greatly expand the ability of voters to cast ballots outside of the traditional first Tuesday (after the first Monday) in November. With polling places generally open for about 12 hours, going a few blocks down the street to cast a ballot on a particular day never seemed like a particularly heavy lift to me. It is also a great civic moment, affording us a golden opportunity to teach our children about the benefits and responsibilities of America’s republic and democracy.”

Arizona Secretary of State Accuses Nine of Double Voting: “Vote once – but not twice”

More illegal cross-state double voting found – by looking:

Via KJZZ:  “Bennett says Arizona is one of 16 states that participates in a program to cross-reference their ballots. The nine people caught are accused of voting in Arizona and other states in the 2008 election.  Bennett acknowledges cross-checking all those voters is a slow process, and that there’s no way to undo those votes.”

And KTAR reports: “Bennett said nine cases may not seem like a lot but Arizona has a history of close elections. ‘We have had 12 elections in the past 30 years where a candidate won by a single vote.’”

TRUE THE VOTE RELEASES NEW EVIDENCE OF CROSS-STATE ABSENTEE VOTER FRAUD

HOUSTON, TX. September 25, 2012― True The Vote (TTV), the nonpartisan election integrity organization, today released preliminary research findings that already show evidence of 31 cases of absentee ballot fraud in New York and Florida. The Office of Florida Secretary of State, the New York State Board of Elections and the U.S. Department of Justice were formally notified of ballots cast simultaneously in both states for federal elections.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” True The Vote President, Catherine Engelbrecht said. “This is further evidence of just how susceptible our election system is to voter fraud. Earlier this year, Pew Research found more than 2.75 million people nationwide are registered to vote in more than one state. These early findings put a name, face and potential motivation behind that startling statistic. True The Vote calls on Florida, New York and federal officials to investigate and confirm our citizen research.”

True The Vote began the process of identifying potential absentee voter fraud by accessing Florida’s complete voter registration roll and cross-referencing it against 10 percent of New York’s comprehensive list. Preliminary audits indicated more than one million Florida voters claimed New York mailing addresses. Over 1,700 people were found with voter registrations in both states. Today 31 voters were turned over to state and federal election authorities after being matched based on full name, birth date, reciprocal mailing addresses and voting history demonstrating ballots cast in both states during the same federal election cycle.

In each case, federal and state laws were potentially violated as a result of these activities. Both New York and Florida require voters to cast ballots corresponding with their permanent residential addresses. Federal law, specifically 42 U.S.C. § 1973i(e) clearly states that voters cannot cast more than one ballot in the same election.

“This should serve as a warning to any individual considering committing voter fraud in this year’s election,” Engelbrecht said. “True The Vote enjoys cooperative relationships with these states and many more. These findings are only the beginning of our effort. As today is National Voter Registration Day, it’s important to remember that no candidate or cause is worth a felony conviction.”

True The Vote (TTV) a nonpartisan, nonprofit grassroots organization focused on preserving election integrity is operated by citizens for citizens, to inspire and equip volunteers for involvement at every stage of our electoral process. TTV empowers organizations and individuals across the nation to actively protect the rights of legitimate voters, regardless of their political party affiliation. SC lawmakers demand Voting Section Voter ID preclear memo

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and Rep. Trey Gowdy have demanded that the Justice Department Voting Section turn over the recommendation memo written by the attorney reviewer in the Section 5 unit, the Section 5 deputy and the Section Chief.  Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith co-signed the letter to Eric Holder, which starts:

We are troubled by a report that Justice Department political appointees ignored and overruled career Voting Section experts’ recommendation that South Carolina’s voter ID law be approved. Accordingly, we request all documents and communications pertaining to the Department’s decision to oppose the law and pursue costly litigation. We are concerned that scarce funds are likely being wasted opposing common sense legislation that was cleared by the Department’s own nonpartisan experts.

This will get really interesting if DOJ denies that a preclearance recommendation was made.  That would be false.  PJ Media has more details on the exclusive story.  DOJ notably never denied the accuracy of the initial story.  The primary reason they cannot deny it is that it is true.

“Michigan asks voters if they’re legal citizens; ACLU freaks out”

The dreaded “check box”:

The American Civil Liberties Union teamed up with the SEIU and a few other interested groups to sue the Michigan Secretary of State, Ruth Johnson, over her addition of a check box to ballot applications, asking voters to confirm they are U.S. citizens who legally have the right to vote.  ACLU’s Michigan executive director, Kary Moss, described this as a “cynical voter suppression tactic.”

No, this is not a joke or satire.  The ACLU actually thinks a check box asking voters to confirm that they’re legally entitled to vote constitutes “suppression.”  The mad scramble to protect vote fraud operations had degenerated into this level of absolute lunacy.  Devoid of anything approaching a logical argument, vote fraud defenders are down to describing a simple “Yes or No” question on ballot applications as a “roadblock” that will “confuse” and “intimidate” minority voters.
