“Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence”

More criticism of “studies” showing little voter fraud. “Reading the list of voter fraud cases, I note that there was no mention of the thousands of Illinois voters bussed in for the Iowa Caucuses in 2008 by Barack Obama. Nor is there any mention of the thousands of illegal aliens who have voted over the past 14 years. Nor any mention of felons illegally voting, or of instances involving tens of thousands of bogus registrations gathered by ACORN and other groups.”  Link.

The Return of the Sales Rank Widget

On the old Election Law Center platform there were sales rank widgets for various books about election law.  The widgets provided real time data about what books about election law were selling and which weren’t.  The sales rank widget has returned for the new platform.  I’ve dropped Tova Wang’s book because it generally stayed in the 700,000 to 900,000 range (read: not selling) and then someone would make a bulk purchase and the sales rank would spike to around 20,000 and then slowly fall until the next bulk purchase.  That doesn’t say much, except someone is making a bulk purchase.

Rick Hasen’s Voting Wars is again included.  Sales of that book exhibit some of the same selling characteristics of Wang’s book – bulk purchases followed by slow drops, usually around the beginning of a school semester – but there is enough of a heartbeat other times to keep the widget alive.

I’ve also dropped von Spakovsky and Fund’s Who’s Counting and now their latest, Obama’s Enforcer is included.  I’ve added a Kindle widget for my book Injustice.  The widgets provide some insight into the market activity for election law books.  Enjoy.  If I am missing a book, feel free to pass along the NovelRank page.  Remember, lower numbers equal bigger sales.
