A bad month grows worse.

John Cornyn is on the Senate Floor scalding the Justice Department and Eric Holder on a wide range of issues.  Cornyn today called for Holder’s resignation.  He took to the Senate Floor to list out all of the reasons why Holder should step down, including lax and late enforcement of military voting rights, as well as attacking Voter ID.  The speech is live on CSPAN 2 and partial summaries are at my Twitter stream.

Judicial Watch has sued the Department of Justice regarding the Section 5 review of Voter ID in South Carolina.  Judicial Watch is seeking records from the review as well as all contacts between Civil Rights Division employees and third parties regarding South Carolina Voter ID.  The press release is here.

“Robyn Pugh was charged with perjury, false swearing in official matters and unlawful voting. She could receive up to 10 years in prison and fines of $20,000.  The DA alleged that Pugh registered to vote in Middle Smithfield Township and voted there four times when she was actually living in Stroud Township.”  Full story.
