University of North Carolina Chancellor: “administrators acted inappropriately” in voter fraud scandal

In an statement on the embarrassing behavior by University of North Carolina administrators who were filmed endorsing student double registration, voting and fraud, the UNC Chancellor admitted it was “inappropriate behavior.”   Conspiring to dilute the votes of legal voters is serious misconduct.  excerpt below:

O’Keefe’s team went undercover at UNC secretly taping at least two
UNC officials, while O’Keefe’s operative discussed a voter fraud scheme.

One university staffer laughed and at one point seemed to even encourage the plan.

In
a statement to ABC11, UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp wrote, “While the
scenarios described in the video were false, some of our administrators
responded inappropriately, and we are taking disciplinary action against
those who used poor judgment in their approach to these student
imposters.”

Breaking Exclusive: Massive Purge of Dead Florida Voters

I’ve learned that the Florida Secretary of State is ready to announce the massive discovery and purge of tens of thousands of dead voters on the Florida rolls.  Sources tell me that over 50,000 dead voters have been discovered and purged from the voter rolls in Florida.

Why wouldn’t this massive number of dead voters been discovered previously?  Because Florida was not using all of the available information about who has died across the nation.  Once Florida began to use the best available information on who has died, the better information revealed over 50,000 dead voters on the rolls.

Here’s the important part: in most parts of the country, election officials are not using all the possible available information available about who has died across the country.  Florida started using a better dead list, and discovered the methods used by most election officials in the nation still kept 50,000 dead voters on the rolls.

Latest O’keefe video “Less Enforcement of Voter Fraud Laws than Speeding”

Another must see James O’Keefe video.  Among the content:

* North Carolina election judge saying he wants to “run over” Scalia and Thomas and can’t support the NC Constitution.

* UNC’s officials laughing at voter fraud crimes and denying voter fraud occurs.  UNC Dean Blackburn encouraging Operation Chaos.

* The ability to vote in North Carolina under a false name.

* The need for Voter ID in North Carolina.

* People who claimed they were noncitizens participating in North Carolina elections.  Either they lied to get out of jury duty, or they voted illegally.

Latest Ballot Access Controversy in SC: Dueling

The ongoing fight to get on the South Carolina ballot enters a new chapter: claims that State Senator Jake Knotts is ineligible to hold office because he has issued a challenge to a duel, an act which disqualifies him from holding office under the South Carolina Constitution.

The South Carolina Supreme Court recently took a very strict view of statutory language for ballot eligibility, and threw 1 in 5 candidates off the South Carolina ballot.  If they continue to take a strict view of the language of the state constitution, and Katrina Shealy subpoenas witnesses to Knott’s challenge to a duel, this could get very interesting.

League of Women Voters Priorities

Far afield from voting.  Some issues the League of Women Voters have taken on:

“pre-abortion ultrasound”

“Abortion”

“Access to Women’s Health Care”

“regionally balanced transportation systems”

“increase the use of public transportation”

“legal authority to control the use of land. Stronger state control”

“Wetlands”

“Endeavor to prevent mental illness”

“Adoption of the California Standards for low emission vehicles”

“A more progressive state income tax, with an increase in the number of income brackets and a raise in the rates in higher brackets”

“In divorce fault should not enter into the court’s division of marital property. “

“smoking in public should be limited to designated areas”

“the state has a role to play in child care . . . [and the government should provide some] form of financial assistance to increase the affordability and availability of child care.”

You’ve come a long way baby.

South Carolina Election Commission Argues Against Complete Ballots for Military Voters

“Kincannon also claimed that military voters should get ballots 45 days before an election in order to return them in time.  State Election Commission Attorney Elizabeth Crum said that rule only applied to federal races.”

This is the latest in a series of questionable positions taken by the State Election Commission.  The previous ones include providing bad data to the Justice Department on the South Carolina Voter ID submission.  As I recall, South Carolina also entered into a consent decree on military voting, and the decree was precleared.  Any deviation from that decree would constitute a change requiring preclearance.  From the news report, it is difficult to tell how this case was lost, though it appears to be on standing.  Yet standing is something that should not have been problematic. Perhaps someone can email the opinion for us to post.
