Dozens Named in NM Voter Fraud Police Report

“The report has some or all of the 31 people listed are suspected of falsifying voter records and fraud. Some of the people whose signatures appear on the petition said they have never signed it.  One of them is an 89-year-old nun. ‘It gives me some comfort to know they’re going to investigate so it doesn’t happen again,’ said Sister Mary Angelo Lobato.”

Tova Wang: No Sales

Down along the left hand side of this page is a sales ranking widget for four books about election law (mine, Fund/vonSpakovsky, Hasen and Tova Wang’s).  The rankings are like American Top 40; the lower the ranking number, the higher the unit sales.

One problem, Tova Wang’s book hasn’t sold a single copy yet, not even on preorder. As such, Amazon won’t provide a sales ranking until the first copy is sold.  Here is the link for someone to buy the book and get this ball rolling.  Without a sale, there is no sales ranking.

Politico with a unique view. They write “there’s talk of tightening ballot access laws in the future to prevent what many view as a situation that badly embarrassed the state.”  Embarrassed the state?  Most commentary about the incarcerated felon earning 40 percent of the vote and beating Obama in 8 counties has focused on how it embarrassed the President, not embarrassed West Virginia.

Justice Department Monitored Texas Elections Sat.

Story here.  “Federal observers will monitor polling places in Dallas, Galveston and Jasper counties, according to a Justice Department statement released Friday.”

The monitoring of Galveston is part of an ongoing haggling of the Texas County.  Galveston has asserted a variety of rights on a variety of election issues.  That’s one of the reasons that DOJ is monitoring them.  Dallas and Jasper officials should consider this monitoring an early sign that their counties may be sued.

More on Florida-wide probe of non-citizen voting

WZHN.  “A state-wide investigation could impact Florida’s primary and general elections. As many as 180,000 ineligible voters were uncovered following an NBC2 investigation into voter fraud.  The number drastically increased since our story first aired on Monday. Over the phone, Secretary of State Communications Director Chris Cate explains.”
