“How Many Crimes Did the New Black Pathers Commit in Florida?”

 PJ Rule of Law:  “Now Florida officials may have a chance to do what Eric Holder refused to do — bring these New Black Panther gangsters to justice once and for all. . . . The New Black Panthers act like they are above the law because so far they have been.

Americans are taking renewed notice of the New Black Panthers and the politicians who have enabled them. What sort of country have we become that racist uniformed thugs can stalk polls and threaten free citizens with mob arrest and murder? Is this a post-racial America, or a wicked reminder of a lawless age we thought we had moved beyond forever?


So what crimes may have the New Black Panthers committed in Florida with their threats toward George Zimmerman?

Nebraska Voter ID moves forward with Governor Heineman (and not AG Bruning) leading the charge

The big photo ID debate is set to finally resume in Nebraska. And Governor Dave Heineman says publicly that photo ID laws are not an impediment to vote and are a step in the right direction.  Republican Don Stenberg has come out in favor of the voter ID bill because it is going to be a big fight as Democrats try to filbuster.

Of course, there is nary a word from Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning, who urged the U.S. Senate in writing to confirm U.S. Attorney General Holder and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Thomas Perez into their powerful positions within the Obama Administration.  

The endorsements showed extremely poor judgement as both appointees turned out to be leading opponents of photo ID legislation across country. 

While Politico says Jon Bruning was a liberal in law school who maintained a variety of liberal views, they don’t appear to include anything on Photo ID.  So I am going to set my watch and see how long it takes for Bruning to come out in favor of photo ID in Nebraska.
