One Week from Tonight: RNLA Miami Book Signing

One week from tonight I will be in South Florida at a book signing event sponsored by the Republican National Lawyers Association.  I will have copies of Injustice and I know there will be lots of cocktails.

Details here.  Globe Cafe.  Coral Gables.  6 pm.

I will have more information about the Justice Department’s opposition to Florida’s change in early voting laws, and why they are doing it.

WV County Hurries to Clean Rolls After Judicial Watch Notice

Lincoln County (WV) is one of the notice targets of a joint project between me and Judicial Watch to enforce Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act given that this Justice Department refuses to do so.

States and counties across the United States are receiving notices under NVRA that they may be sued if the voter rolls are not cleaned up by November.  Lincoln County (WV) was a place with more voters on the rolls than people alive, and a recent history of voter fraud convictions involving phony absentee ballots.  In fact, this part of West Virginia has long had a voter fraud problem, aided by corrupted voter rolls.

It looks like they got the message.  In a county commission meeting yesterday (photo above) the board voted to support the swift cleanup of the voter rolls.  This is a good start to the nationwide project.  Lincoln Journal: “Commission Responds to Threatened Lawsuit.”

Wake County, NC passes resolution on Voter ID protecting integrity of voting process

The second most populated county in North Carolina placed itself squarely behind photo ID safeguards on the state level with a resolution that reads as follows:

“Now it is time to reaffirm for all citizens the right of an honest
voter not to have his or her legitimate vote canceled out or diluted by
an illegal vote. … Every American who cares enough to take the time to
vote should also care enough to obtain even the most basic form of
identification, or to request assistance to obtain some minimal
identification to protect the integrity of a process for which others
have laid down their lives.”
