“Forty-nine people named in Chamorro -only” election lawsuit

Plaintiff has provided initial disclosures naming 49 potential witnesses.  From the Pacific Daily News:

“Gov. Eddie Calvo, former Gov. Carl Gutierrez, former Attorney General Doug Moylan and a handful of sitting and former senators are named in the federal court documents as people who are “likely to have information relevant” to the case.

The list also includes GovGuam agencies heads, both current and former, University of Guam President Robert Underwood, plus several UOG professors, and several local Chamorro-rights activists.

This plebiscite lawsuit began when local resident Arnold Davis sued the Guam Election Commission because he was barred from joining a registry of native inhabitants. The registry is in place so a Chamorro-only plebiscite can be held.”

PJTV’s Alexis Garcia at Fox Latino on Voter ID

“Despite this, the Obama administration is hell-bent on making voter ID a major controversy leading into the 2012 election. After seeing his numbers soften among Hispanics who are dissatisfied with his leadership and the direction of the country, President Obama and Eric Holder are doing what the Left does best: manufacturing controversy and using a complicit media to make this an issue about race to demagogue Republicans and scare Hispanic voters.”

The desperate offensive by the Left against the freedoms of “Citizens United”

A frenzy of shared talking points to limit the political speech of others with the short term goal being a self-reversal of the Supreme Court as the quickest route to that end.  Of course, the goal is pushed by the mainstream media.  Perhaps, Karl Rove is onto something. MSNBC Host Sharpton compares Voter ID to segregationist water fountains

In St. Louis, MSNBC host Sharpton compares the “Voter ID” issue to Jim Crow laws of the past, telling the crowded auditorium that “Your water fountain is voter ID.”  Link to article.  Is this really inside the bounds of debate?  It is dreadful that the media allows such rhetoric without raising the penalty flag.  Unfortunately, it is really par for the course. Just recently, the ACLU also compared voter ID to the
segregation of the Jim Crow era
. We all know what imagery is coming next and it won’t be pretty. And yet Sharpton is allowed to preach his version of racial unity on his own show and on national news shows.
