Lost narrative. Reports of Voter ID in Texas are coming in, and the outcome is inconvenient for voter ID foes. Hispanic Business has more.
“Democrats — nationally and in Texas — have been trying to gain political traction by saying that Texas’ new voter identification law is hurting women, but election officials in Central Texas say the law isn’t proving to be much of a problem. . . . “It’s not a big deal at all,” said Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir. Any issues have been “quickly and easily resolved.”
Jason Barnett, the elections administrator in Williamson County, also said he hasn’t experienced any problems. He teaches his election workers to look at the “totality of circumstances” to determine voters’ identities when their names aren’t identical on official IDs and voter registration cards.
“It’s not a complicated process,” he said.”

Race Baiting Kook Art Slurs White Republicans
Don’t expect anyone that purports to be a reasonable liberal to condemn this absurd and technically simplistic painting by Michael D’Antuono. It isn’t quite ape with a paintbrush, but it is close. Its skilled enough to present a nasty paranoid narrative that various race baiters have inspired the gullible to adopt. It’s just the sort of un-civil political “discourse” that someone lectured the country about not too long ago.
Voter Fraud Update from Ohio
More voter fraud news you won’t hear from the voter fraud denier echo chamber, this time in Ohio: “Thirteen cases have been turned over to county prosecutors’ offices One case remains under investigation Kim Trombetta plead guilty of one count of falsification in Butler County”
Bribes with Booze in Alabama Election
Another story you won’t ever hear about from the voter fraud denier echo chamber. Tuscaloosa: Tuscaloosa BOE candidate Kelly Horwitz said in August that she felt some voters were bribed for their ballot with the promise of free alcohol. As part of their evidence, her legal team presented a list of nearly 400 voter names that they allege were involved in the voting bribery. These voters may be called to testify in the voter fraud case. Monday, attorney Robert Prince filed a motion to try and shield these voters’ names. He also denies the allegations of bribery. Prince represents fraternity members from Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Pi Kappa Alpha as well as sorority members from Kappa Delta, Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Omicron Pi.”
“An attorney representing some voters in the Tuscaloosa voter fraud case wants to shield their names from the public to protect their identities.
Not much demand for VoterID Docs in TX
It seems most people already have voter ID, and state efforts to give out free ID don’t have many takers.
Posner: Sound and fury, signifying nothing
It looks like the joy among vote fraud deniers may have been shortlived. Posner walks back.
No more New York Times love for you, Judge Posner!
In court case, Holder DOJ ignores bipartisan Carter-Baker Commission recommendation that every state enact a photo ID requirement
In the Texas Motion to Dismiss, the Attorney General’s Office points out the Supreme Court noted that the bipartisan Carter-Baker Commission recommended that every state enact a photo ID law.
Holder’s Talking Points Memo
“This whole notion of voter fraud and the need to come up with photo ID to combat voter fraud is really a solution that’s in search of a problem,” Holder said today.
Put aside for a moment that Holder opposes voter ID. Fine. But his election crimes unit is responsible for prosecuting double voting cases in a federal election. For the top prosecutor to opine about the breadth and scope of a problem is, well, what we’ve come to expect from this Attorney General.
All politics. All the time.
Perhaps he doesn’t know that his Department is responsible for prosecuting double voting, a crime aided by a lack of photo ID. After all, Holder’s Department still has not brought federal charges in multiple double voting cases, including one in Ohio where the perp confessed on camera to voting for Obama six times.
This is more than a bug. This is a feature of this administration: aiding the lawless and irresponsible at the expense of the law abiding and responsible. It is a policy fundamentally contrary American values and the rule of law. Yet it is at the core of the administration’s “fundamental transformation of America.” Claiming that criminal behavior is rare in elections, in the face of overwhelming facts to the contrary, is a feature of this administration. In doing so, they enable more criminal behavior. Instead of keeping his mouth shut, this Attorney General flips on the green light to voter fraudsters across the country.
