Oklahoma is among a growing
number of states signing on to a program aimed at stopping voters from
casting ballots in multiple states for the same election. The Interstate Voter Registration
Crosscheck Program, established and run by the Kansas Secretary of
State’s Office, has been operating since 2006.The recent addition of Indiana brought to 24 the number of states participating.

A story by WECT out of North Carolina reveals how weak and hapless Democrats appear as they plead to the Department of Justice to do what they failed to do – provide some political defense against voter ID reforms. Of course, Democrats believe they are the only species of political animal with ideas of election reforms so any Republican reform must be destroyed at all costs.
The voter ID law was championed by N.C. House Speaker Thom Tillis, who is hoping to unseat Hagan in the 2014 election.
“With over 70 percent of North Carolina residents consistently
supporting the implementation of a photo ID measure, this common-sense
legislation responds to the majority of citizens who desire a fair and
accountable election system,” said Tillis. “The passage of this bill is a
testament to General Assembly members’ relentless efforts in working to
strengthen our election system.”
“U.S. Postal Service officials have launched an investigation into the mailing of several absentee ballots for the Mobile municipal, after a postal worker reported what appeared to be voter fraud, according to FOX10 news… postal officials questioned the mailing of numerous ballots bearing similar handwriting, as well as multiple ballots from the same voters being mailed almost daily.” Mobile City Clerk Lisa Lambert, whose job it is to log in absentee ballots, says, “I would hope no citizen would try to defraud an election by doing something illegal.” Hope appears to be an insufficient deterrent. Mayoral candidate Sandy Stimpson tells local reporters that “this investigation should send a message to all voters: Fraud does happen and it’s up to you to make sure this is a fair election.“
Renowned voting expert Cokie Roberts opined on the ABC Sunday News Show “This Week” that changes to voting rights are downright evil. TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WVUA) – “Questions are being raised about a house in Tuscaloosa’s 4th District, days before municipal elections. More than 10 unrelated people are registered to vote in a single house, and if some residents are not residing there, they could be guilty of perjury.” Fraternity brothers stuff a house and admit to news that they don’t live in the house. This is why college students should be voting where they reside, particularly if they are claimed as a dependent elsewhere.

The additional American Legion auditing appears to be the
jurisdiction of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations Division, which oversaw
the Tea Party flagging under Director Lois Lerner, who is now on paid
administrative leave after invoking her Fifth Amendment rights during a
congressional hearing on the issue.“On the heels of Americans’ anger over revelations that the IRS
intentionally targeted certain groups, it has been brought to my
attention that the IRS is now turning its sights toward our nation’s
veterans,” Kansas Republican Sen. Jerry Moran said this weekend. “This
policy seems to be crafted with the oversight of Lois Lerner and
deserves, at a minimum, a thorough look.
Yes, there is voter fraud and it does affect the outcome of elections. The July trials contesting two close Mississippi elections produced disturbing evidence of “abusive bullying tactics,” “shocking instances of illegal voting,” and election misconduct so egregious that courts ordered new elections in both Canton and Hattiesburg. The attorney for the challengers in both cases says, “The integrity of our election process was also on trial. In both cases, the courts ordered new elections because that integrity was found lacking. Peeking behind the curtain into the voting booth was unsettling. We proved instances of illegal votes, voter fraud, and other misconduct.” In Canton’s Democrat primary: Usually-elusive voter suppression was on “loud and boisterous” display at the polls as Democratic Municipal Executive Committee member Kimberly Readus “tore up a voted affidavit ballot, tried to force poll workers to allow people who were not on the poll books to vote on the voting machines” and “intimidated poll workers, voters, and intended voters, such as to severely disrupt the democratic process.” Democratic Committee Chair Robert Chinn followed “the law according to Chinn” and allowed “at least five affidavit ballots to be counted (in a four-vote race), even though the voters did not live in the Ward.” Improper voter assistance and improper handling of absentee ballots rounded out the list of misconduct leading to a court-ordered re-do of Canton’s Ward 1 Alderman election. In Hattiesburg’s mayoral election: A “total breakdown in the absentee balloting process and shocking instances of illegal voting.” “Hundreds of absentee ballots failed to comply with mandatory provisions of Mississippi law. They were counted anyway, giving DuPree well more than his [37-vote] margin of victory.” Ineligible felons voting? Check. Voter impersonation? Check. “Opponents of voter ID have said that ID is a ‘solution in search of a problem’ because there are no examples of people impersonating other voters. Wrong. Voter ID, properly enforced, would have stopped these illegal votes.” Even the trial “involved allegations of witness intimidation,” but the judge ordered a new election and Hattiesburg voters will try again to elect a mayor on September 24. New elections are a step toward “greater integrity for Mississippi elections,” but bigger “wins” will come with prosecutions of the Canton and Hattiesburg fraudsters and intimidators.
“We’ve learned a great deal from the election-focused left lately. They are perplexed that they no longer have a monopoly on the discourse about election issues. Often, this manifests as ridicule—other times as flippant dismissal. Rarely does it manifest as engagement on the issues. They have a long pedigree in this regard; dissent is not to be tolerated. That’s why Maddow doesn’t have guests appear on her shows about election issues, and she does a disservice to her (small number of) viewers.”
