“Photo ID only makes sense”

Op-Ed in North Carolina from a State Senator Thom Goolsby:  The time has come for North Carolina to go the same way as Georgia and
adopt a reasonable photo voter ID law. The last time that such a law was
passed, Democrat Governor Perdue vetoed it. Ironically, she had a party
at the Governor’s Mansion the same night. Guess what was required to
get into the mansion? You guessed it – a photo ID!

Wall Street Journal: Perez Vioated Federal Records Act 32-1200 Times

The unctuous Tom Perez was asked by the House if he every used his home Verizon account to send emails to St. Paul Minnesota and other places regarding DOJ business.  Turns out he did over 1,000 times.  Yet said “I don’t recall” in his under oath testimony to the investigative committee.

Wall Street Journal:  Where Are Mr. Perez’s Emails?

“He repeated that testimony to the Senate Thursday. What’s more, in a letter sent to Mr. Issa Wednesday, Peter J. Kadzik, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs at Justice, responded to the subpoena and admitted Mr. Perez violated the Federal Records Act (which requires that federal business is archived) at least 34 times. The letter also suggested Mr. Perez used his personal email account almost 1,200 times for official government business. . . .

Justice allowed Congressional investigators to review only 34 redacted emails “in camera” Wednesday, a day before the nomination hearing, giving senators little time to absorb the scope of Mr. Perez’s illegal activities.”

Does Perez tell the truth under oath?  By now the answer should be obvious.

Wisconsin to conduct address list maintenance on voter rolls

In Wisconsin: The Government Accountability Board’s Elections Division mailed postcards Monday to nearly 300,000 Wisconsin registered voters who have not voted in the past four years.  This really shouldn’t be news. All states should be mailing postcards to voters to get the latest address information from voters to update registration information or to remove registrations for those voters that have moved from the state.
