Memphis Election Mess
American Family Radio Nationwide this AM
I am about to go on American Family Radio nationwide at 10:30 am eastern time to talk about long lines and efforts to find a solution in Washington D.C. for this local and rare problem.
“Mississippi senators refuse funding to defend Voter ID law”
“State senators balked Thursday at giving Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann $395,000 to spend on lawyers from former Gov. Haley Barbour’s law firm to defend Mississippi’s Voter ID law.” Link.
North Carolina Election Official “Illegally Registered Thousands of Voters”
So says the Beaufort Observer. “Somebody should go to jail for this. At least the crew of bureaucrats at the State Board of Elections should be fired and never allowed to work for the State of North Carolina again. And it goes without saying that Governor McCrory should make a clean sweep of the State Board of Elections.”
“Working to Reduce Voter Fraud”
“This week, the Missouri House addressed the issue of voter fraud by passing HJR 5 and HB 48. HJR 5 would allow the voters of Missouri to decide whether or not to allow a voter ID requirement to be added to the Missouri Constitution. HB 48 will then enact the amendment if passed by the people.” Link
“Prosecutor: Nun may have committed voter fraud”
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters sent a letter
to Board of Elections director Tim Burke saying there’s probable cause
to believe criminal activity has occurred in the case of deceased voter
Sister Rose Marie Hewitt. Sisters of Charity confirm that Hewitt died on Oct. 4 of last year.
Good Lord. – Of course, someone (non-clergy) may have voted with the registration of a deceased nun. Yes, impersonated a nun. I know it doesn’t exist but it is wrong.
“Alaska legislature discusses voter ID”
The House State Affairs Committee began discussing HB3, by Reps. Bob Lynn and Wes Keller, on Thursday. Lynn and Keller serve as the chair and vice-chair of the committee, respectively.
“Voting
is the very foundation of our Democratic republic,” Lynn said to the
committee. “To protect that foundation, voters must be who they say
they are.”

Another sighting…..as “man is charged with voter fraud”
A Wisconsin man charged with fraud, facing charges and potential prison sentence of 3 1/2 years. No really, it is true.
Poll: Virginia Voter ID Support = 75%
The voter ID bill is heading to the Governor in Virginia, and it has the overwhelming support of Virginians: 75-23. Republicans support it by a whopping 95-4 percentage. This means that anyone who plans to run in a Republican primary in the Commonwealth would oppose voter ID at their own peril.
