Meltdown in Hinds County, Mississippi. First military and overseas ballots were not available or sent thus raising the ire of the Romney Campaign. According to this article, election officials tried to use solely email ballots. Then this article states that a week after the deadline, there are still no ballots for absentee voting.
Derelict Election Officials: “Political Show!”
Tabella has this piece about the late mailing of military ballots in Vermont. Focus on two important facts from the story. First, election officials admit they screwed up. Second, they call the attention to their screw up a “political show.”
This same pattern seems to be repeating around the country. The same thing is happening in Ohio where derelict election officials had to clear off deadwood voters from the rolls, yet at the same time criticized the groups that brought attention to the deadwood. In fact, it is even worse than that. Ohio electoral boards could have summarily dismissed bad challenges, but instead conjured up the voters for genuine political theatre, and to push a point that the people making the challenges shouldn’t be doing so. This was designed to deter further challenges to their derelict election administration.
So when the Romney campaign points out that Vermont failed to comply with federal law requiring our servicemembers to receive timely ballots, or Ohio VIP points out dead and ineligible voters on the rolls in violation of federal law, the wrongdoers have the audacity of calling it a “political show!”
Pay attention. This pattern is likely to repeat in the coming weeks. Citizens or campaigns bring attention to derelict election officials, the derelict election officials quietly fix the problem, while simultaneously accusing the accusers of engaging in political theatre.

Did 53 Vermont towns miss the military overseas ballot deadline?
According to this article, the Romney campaign thinks that overseas and military voters are impacted by late mailings of overseas and military ballots. The Vermont Secretary of State Condos calls it a “political show” yet recognizes there was a delay in the printing of ballots:
(Secretary of State) Condos says the recount in a primary race delayed the printing of the November ballots, but town clerks were sent electronic

Election Journal has more. Election Journal has more. In Massachusetts, there appears to be confusion of over whether overseas and military voters should be expecting their ballots in the mail. An article entitled “Secretary of State Galvin, Scott Brown campaign spar over absentee ballot deadline” lays out the issue. The Scott Brown campaign apparently received reports from local officials that ballots had not been mailed out by the due date required by federal law. From the article, the response by the Secretary of State (at least according to this article) was not exactly clear: …Galvin said. “We’ve worked very hard to make sure every community From the above statement, it appears Massachusetts is simply satisfied with the fact that they sent the ballots to local election officials; however, the Brown campaign is asking the bigger and legitimate question – whether the ballots were actually mailed out by the due date or even at all. If not, there is a big problem. In Massachusetts, there appears to be confusion of over whether overseas and military voters should be expecting their ballots in the mail. It’s funny how some networks and election blogs only cover voter fraud when it involves the GOP, and only then to make a point. This blog will continue to cover voter fraud, no matter the political stripes of the perpetrators.

Confusion in Massachusetts over whether overseas military ballots were mailed
Federal law states that absentee ballots must be mailed to citizens at
least 45 days before an election to ensure enough time for them to be
returned and for the votes to be tallied. And while William Galvin,
secretary of the commonwealth assures that they were delivered to the
351 town and city clerks on Saturday to adhere to the deadline, the
Brown campaign is asserting otherwise.

controversy or an issue where there isn’t one.”
