The Alabama Republican Party has decided to up the ante when it comes to their ballot security operation. The ALGOP announced today that they are offering $1,000 to anyone who can provide information that directly leads to a felony conviction for voter fraud.

“‘Reward Stop Voter Fraud’ signs with our hotline number will be placed at random polling locations tomorrow and at all polling locations in November,” ALGOP Chairman Bill Armistead explained. “Poll watchers trained by ALGOP staff will also be watching to ensure that Alabama’s election laws – including the new photo voter ID law – are not being violated. Our signs and poll watchers will send a clear message to those wishing to commit voter fraud. Anyone attempting to tamper with the election process will be caught and will be prosecuted.”

In a May 17 commencement speech at Morgan State University, Attorney General Eric Holder once again dismissed the problem of voter fraud as being inconsequential. Efforts to curb it, he claimed, are merely attempts to deprive minorities of their right to vote.

It’s not just that Holder personally persists in ignoring the many cases of such fraud that have been documented by historians and journalists. His entire Justice Department studiously ignores evidence of possible fraud and steadfastly refuses to do anything about it. I know this from personal experience.

From 2010 to until 2013, I served on the Fairfax County Electoral Board in Virginia. In August 2011, we notified the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria, as well as the Public Integrity Section of the Criminal Division of the Justice Department (which coordinates election crime prosecutions) in Washington, of possible voter fraud by non-citizens.

This story reveals the depravity of the vote fraud deniers: Meloweese Richardson, the election official who abused her power to vote six times for President Obama, who appeared as a hero at an Al Sharpton rally, who enjoys the kindness of Eric Holder’s non-prosecution for federal election crimes now wants to be paid for her time working at the polls when she committed her crimes.

Richardson, a Democratic Hamilton County poll worker for almost 30 years, went to the Board of Elections office this week with her uncashed $150 payroll check from the November 2012 election. She wanted a new check re-issued because the first can’t be cashed.

“According to the Air Force IG, the Hanscom Air Force Base accidently closed the [military voting assistance office] during building renovations but did not reinstitute it.”

Nor did the Air Force distribute Federal Postcard Applications properly to airmen.

“And so the fact that Comey said this simply means to me that he’s in line with American thinking as opposed to the thinking of the Obama administration.”

“On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge John Bates said Shelby County would have been entitled to fees only if its opponent’s position had been frivolous, unreasonable or without foundation. Bates said that since Shelby County cannot make that showing, the county and its attorneys, not the American taxpayer, must foot the bill.”
