ABC news link here.  Union groups and their supporters spent much of Wednesday castigating
billionaire donors, Citizens United and corporate power in the wake of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s victory over the effort to recall him from office.

The state is still pulling together final election data, but Republican
officials say their internal analysis shows that Mr. Walker won a
majority of absentee ballots, giving them a jolt of confidence and a
game plan for a similar effort in the presidential election.  Full story at the Wall Street Journal.

 Miami Herald, way way way down the page: “About 40 people statewide have been identified as noncitizens. At least four might have voted and could be guilty of a third-degree felony.”

  Oooops.  “This procedure, which takes place tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of times each day in federal courthouses across the country, is apparently entirely unknown to the nation’s top law enforcement officer, Attorney General Eric Holder.”

From the Associated Press….State email records show the Department of State has already started
circulating a list internally that shows 86 non-citizens have been
removed from the voter rolls since April 11, and that nearly half of
them had voted in previous elections.

But some of the names that
have been removed in recent weeks were discovered by supervisors
independently and did not come from the list distributed by the state.

..A Florida Department of State spokesman, Chris Cate, defended the
continued push to remove voters. He insisted that no eligible voters
have been removed as a “result of our efforts to ensure the integrity of
Florida elections.”

 The State.  This is a counfoudning turn of events.  The law plainly required the filing of an economic interest statement.  That some candidates did not is a surprise.
