Racism Boomerang on CNN

This is one of the funiest things I’ve ever seen on TV News.  Soledad O’Brien hosts the reactionary actor Jay Thomas, who accuses Breitbart.com Editor in Chief Joel Pollack of “being afraid of black people.”

Only one problem with the accusation of racism…  click here to see Hot Air’s coverage of the sizzler.

As Joel Pollack jokingly quipped to me, the only black person he might be afraid of is his mother-in-law.

West Virginia Sheriff Guilty of Voter Fraud

Fox has the full story.  A part:  “Bowman admitted to falsifying more than 100 of the absentee ballot applications and even voting with some of the ballots himself, while Whitten, who also pleaded guilty Wednesday, acknowledged lying to investigators about the plan to try to throw the election.”

West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant and the local US Attorney diligently pursued this matter.

H//T to Abner Haynes for the story.

Wisconsin AG to promptly appeal Voter ID ruling

Wisconsin Attorney J.B. Van Hollen announced Wednesday that his office will promptly appeal Tuesday’s temporary injunction blocking enforcement of the state’s voter ID law.  “We will be moving quickly to bring this matter before an appellate court to ensure that the properly-enacted and legally-sufficient Voter ID law will be in full force and in effect before the April elections,” Van Hollen said in a statement issued early Wednesday afternoon.  link here.

Pennsylvania Senate heading to final vote on Photo ID

The state Senate Wednesday takes up a bill that would require residents to show valid photo identification before voting.  The proposal has the backing of leaders in the Republican-controlled House and of Gov. Tom Corbett, meaning it could be at least partly in place when Pennsylvanians head to the polls for the April 24 primary.

Democrats, organized labor, the NAACP and the AARP oppose it.
