African-American Caller Blasts Voter Fraud Denier as Patronizing
Some must see video of Greenbaum vs Von Spakovsky on CSPAN’s Washington Journal debating Voter ID. Greenbaum spent the hour trotting out the same old dogma against Voter ID with which more than 70 percent of the country disagree. Then an African-American caller called and dressed Greenbaum down about the patronizing arguments by the Left against Voter ID, proclaiming essentially that black Americans are too stupid or lazy to go get a Voter ID.
Hey Jon – doesn’t the Lawyers Committee pay for any media training? Crack a smile once in a while. Don’t looks so dour! I know the caller from Baltimore had to really put the fear of the Devil into you and your crowd, but for Pete’s sake, maybe just one smile???!
Greenbaum also got a right hook from Von Spakovsky regarding the case of US v. Ike Brown. In the Brown case we proved that voter impersonation was occurring at the polls in Mississippi. Greenbaum provided the irrelevant retort that since Brown was the supervisor of elections, it somehow didn’t matter if he was encouraging voters to lie about who they were. Fail, Jon. In the election when Brown was doing this, he was NOT the supervisor of elections – Buzzy McGuire was, because it was being run by a municipal democratic committee in Macon MS. Even in circumstances where objective facts can prove otherwise, some voter fraud deniers are willing to make up facts.

Oops: Woman Votes Twice in Marion, Turns Herself in for Voter Fraud
Here. Linn County Auditor Joel Miller said he just reported an instance of voter fraud to the Linn County Sherrif. He said voter fraud is rare in Linn County. More rare still, is that the voter, who attempted to vote this morning after casting an absentee ballot, reported herself for the wrong-doing. “I am not going to comment why she did it,” Miller said. “I don’t know the person. I just know it occurred.”
Car Of Philadelphia Mayoral Candidate Vandalized
At the link. PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for those responsible for vandalizing the car of the Republican candidate for mayor.
Brown said the vandalism and other campaign problems are signs of politics as usual in Philadelphia.
“This is what happens in Philadelphia politics, you can’t even have a fair race. It’s bad enough I got my party actually doing ballots without me on it … and then I got people vandalizing my car on the day of the election,” Brown said.
Brown says her car has been vandalized at least 10 times. So far, no arrests have been made.

Court denies Texas Summary J on redistricting
The United States District Court for D.C. just entered an order denying Texas summary judgment. The court concluded Texas “used an improper standard or methodology to determine which districts afford minority voters the ability to elect their preferred candidates of choice” and that material issue of fact prevent the couty from entering declaratory judgment.
Not a big surprise. But it demonstrates why Texas made the right decision going to Federal Court. On these facts, DOJ would have objected.
