A story at KDVR in Denver about a fight involving the Secretary of State. The article says the Secretary of State is involved in a fight whether or not ballots may mail to individuals on the “inactive” voter rolls. State law says ballots may mail to those on the active list. Democrats are saying failing to mail to military voters (on the inactive list) violates the MOVE Act. Of course DOJ is now involved so one may reasonably guess whose side they will take. Missing from the article is the key fact of whether or not the inactive military voters actually requested a ballot or not. If they did, the Secretary of State may well be wrong. If they did not, he may well be right. But don’t expect news reports to include the important facts.
