Holder’s Talking Points Memo

“This whole notion of voter fraud and the need to come up with photo ID to combat voter fraud is really a solution that’s in search of a problem,” Holder said today.

Put aside for a moment that Holder opposes voter ID.  Fine.  But his election crimes unit is responsible for prosecuting double voting cases in a federal election.  For the top prosecutor to opine about the breadth and scope of a problem is, well, what we’ve come to expect from this Attorney General.

All politics.  All the time.

Perhaps he doesn’t know that his Department is responsible for prosecuting double voting, a crime aided by a lack of photo ID.   After all, Holder’s Department still has not brought federal charges in multiple double voting cases, including one in Ohio where the perp confessed on camera to voting for Obama six times.

Apparently General Holder doesn’t think voter fraud is much of a problem.  In saying so, he is telegraphing to would-be criminals everywhere how seriously his Department takes voter fraud.  He is putting them on notice, that as long as these folks are in charge, they needn’t worry much.

This is more than a bug.  This is a feature of this administration: aiding the lawless and irresponsible at the expense of the law abiding and responsible.  It is a policy fundamentally contrary American values and the rule of law.  Yet it is at the core of the administration’s “fundamental transformation of America.”  Claiming that criminal behavior is rare in elections, in the face of overwhelming facts to the contrary, is a feature of this administration.  In doing so, they enable more criminal behavior.  Instead of keeping his mouth shut, this Attorney General flips on the green light to voter fraudsters across the country.
