West Virginia Sheriff Guilty of Voter Fraud

Fox has the full story.  A part:  “Bowman admitted to falsifying more than 100 of the absentee ballot applications and even voting with some of the ballots himself, while Whitten, who also pleaded guilty Wednesday, acknowledged lying to investigators about the plan to try to throw the election.”

West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant and the local US Attorney diligently pursued this matter.

H//T to Abner Haynes for the story.

The U.S. Attorney in West Virginia Booth Goodwin issued a statement saying, “A citizen’s right to vote is at the very foundation of our constitutional democracy. When votes are bought, sold or obtained by fraud, democracy itself is in peril.”

    Amen!

Also notable that – like the prosecutions & guilty pleas in Troy, NY and the recent Medrano conviction in Dallas, TX – this is another case of Dem-on-Dem crime in a Democrat primary. Voter fraud isn’t a partisan issue, it’s a legal issue.

Kudos to WV for pressing the case – more prosecutions/convictions and serious penalties are needed to deter fraudsters.
