Senator Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, certainly does not trust Attorney General Holder to properly exercise additional powers under the VRAA and would not give him additional power for advance approval of voting laws, particularly with the courts available. He criticized Holder’s record of lawlessness in drugs, immigration, health care, and even the Attorney Generals’ totally erroneous interpretation of the President’s recess appointment powers.

Speech Regulators in the Faculty Lounge
Professor Walter Williams writes from firsthand experience. It’s no coincidence that the speech regulators in academia are so involved with finding ways around the First Amendment through the exercise of federal government power. Williams:
“Western values of liberty are under ruthless attack by the academic elite on college campuses across America. These people want to replace personal liberty with government control; they want to replace equality with entitlement. As such, they pose a far greater threat to our way of life than any terrorist organization or rogue nation. “
“Nearly 7 Million Americans Are Registered to Vote in More than One State”
Link to Daily Signal:
Some 6.9 million Americans are registered to vote in two or more states, according to a report from an election-watch group.“Our nation’s voter rolls are a mess,” says Catherine Engelbrecht, True The Vote president. “Sensible approaches to roll maintenance are fought tooth and nail by radical special interests who can use the duplicity in the system to their advantage.”The latest interstate voter cross check tallied 6,951,484 overlapping voter registrations, and they’re just the tip of the iceberg.

“Lawless Justice Department” Refuses to Enforce Law
Fox: “When the U.S. Civil Rights Commission subpoenaed Justice Department lawyers to obtain their testimony in its investigation of the improper dismissal of the New Black Panther voter intimidation case, DOJ didn’t just refuse to enforce the subpoenas – the lawyers were told to ignore the subpoenas and not comply with them. If potential witnesses had ignored a Justice Department subpoena, they would have quickly found themselves in jail as prosecutors moved against them for contempt. . . . Perhaps in Lerner’s case, Machen and Justice Department prosecutors will actually live up to their professional obligations and ethical duties to comply with the law. But excuse us if we have our doubts based on their prior history, a history that is an embarrassment to the prior high traditions of professionalism and nonpartisanship of the Justice Department.”
